This chest of drawers probably started life as a very utilitarian piece of furniture. But just look at it now! 

Produced in the style of Harris Lebus (it may even be an original HL) these pieces are usually manufactured from hardwoods including oak and mahogany. 

They were uncomplicated in their design, affordable and incredibly popular at the time of manufacture. Unsurprisingly they remain so today because they hark back to a time of quality, craftsmanship and artistry.
